Manchester United caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer met the club’s co-owner Avram Glazer ahead of the club’s Champions League clash away to Paris Saint-Germain.

Solskjaer outlined his hope for PSG to throw away their 2-0 lead from the first leg, recalling how they relinquished a four-goal advantage against Barcelona in 2017.  As reported by The Sun, Solskjaer said: ‘We remember those results, there are so many examples of teams who can change results like this. Last year Juventus lost 3-0 at home against Real Madrid and suddenly they were 3-0 up after 90 minutes against Madrid away. Also, as a club we’ve done it so many times.

‘The players have been fantastic away from home, beating Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham, which has given us the belief we can do this as well.’
United face a major task if they are to make it through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, but they have been in inspired form under Solskjaer, winning 13 games out of 16.

PSG have won their last eight games in all competitions and are runaway leaders at the top of Ligue 1, so will be full of confidence going into this game.

If United don’t manage to prevail in the Champions League, then they could still end the season with some silverware in the form of the FA Cup – they will face Wolves away in the quarter-final of the competition. Solskjaer’s side are also currently fourth in the Premier League and face Arsenal away on Sunday in an intriguing clash.
